Clock repair. 200 1990

So my clock stopped working and in a post from the archives I found what seem to be pretty good directions for a repair. In them it says, "The capacitors are the two gold "towers" on one side ot the clock board".
Mine (from a '90) has only one gold tower that is marked + and -. There's a silver one on the other side of the board but it is unmarked.
Should I just replace the gold one, or should I attempt to replace the silver one as well?
