My car cranks but does not start.
The fuel pump relay is ok, there is compression, the timing belt is not broken, there is spark at the spark plugs, the Ecu borrowed from a similar working car did not change the situation.
I suspect the crank position sensor. What are the symptoms for its failure ?
Is it that the car starts for a while but stops after a little while?
In my case there is a little sputter but nothing like a car runnig on all cylinders. How can I rule out the crank position sensor as a culprit without putting a known working sensor in its place ?
Next on my list of suspects I have the coil, the distributor or a misadjusted timing belt.Any help or suggestions is appreciated
