Nivomat conversion on 780 IRS 700 1988

I was reading the 700/900 FAQs the other day and found a great article on converting the 780 IRS from the expensive Nivomat shock to a Bilstein standard shock.

http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/NivomatConversion1.htm#Volvo760780NivomatShockConversion

So far I've spent about 2 hours finishing the first side and am thawing out a bit before getting the other one fixed. My replacement springs are out of my 86 245 that received a set of IPD rears last October, and I am going to wait until after Christmas before buying the shocks. That should be about the time that the fuel tank is back in and the test cranking is done.

Regards,
