I have a 1991 745 that developed the dreaded cat-in-a-blender sound today. This past summer I thought about replacing it, but... I didn't. Now, on the first truly freezing day here this season, it croaks on me (actually, on my wife, who uses the car as transportation and as the kid buggy, which puts a special precedence to my doing this work in an expeditious manner).

Any idea which fan to buy based on any number of strange things in the passenger or engine compartment ?
