'83 240 stalls out after starting. 200 1983

Hello all. My GL has been running well for years, but suddenly it stalls out after I start it up. The engine starts up and turns over as normal, but then immediately drops. Giving a little gas will keep it running rough for a few seconds, but then *poof*, it's dead again.

Before I have it towed to a shop, any guesses about what's going on?
