M47 Manual Trani Upshift light blinks 200 1989

My assumption was always that the Upshift Arrow was a light triggered by Vacuum. Is this true?
In the last few days, I had the upshift light Blink about 4 times before going out and work properly. It was random, once, the car was still cold, I just left the house and got 100 feet down the road, another time I was driving for 10 minutes, I was driving under 30 MPH. I'm wondering if I just happened to be driving at a speed that was border line of tripping the Light. I wasn't thinking about it, I saw the light flashing and I was busy looking for a place to bail out if I needed to and listening to the engine for a miss or something, so I didn't observe the speed. The blinking was not sporatic, it was a nice even timed blink, about 4 or 5 blinks then just stopped. The car drove fine. I tried revving it up and Lugging it to see if something would feel funny. Nope, car appears happy.

Any Thoughts?
