The 740 runs when started, but is almost impossible to get started. I cleaned the throttle body and it fired up fine about a week ago. I went out this AM after it sat unstarted a few days (about 40 degrees temp) and it would not turn over. I have read problems concerning the cold start injector and/or the fuel pressure regulator. When I turn the key on, I do hear the fuel prepump in the back of the wagon turn on and then shut off (like it always does). I have to crank and crank before it starts, and then it runs like a top. What is the easiest way to diagnose a FPR problem or a pre-pump problem? Or am I missing something obvious? The relay is brand new. I have not pulled any codes, in the check engine light is not lit, although I will check it this afternoon. It seems to me in my simple mind to be an electrical or fuel problem. I am putting the emphasis on EASIEST. Thoughts?
