out in the cold and cant get my belts off my air cond compressor 200 1989

Fellow brickers,

Well, Im out in a cold driveway trying to replace the belts on my 89 240 dl sedan.

Unfortunately, I can't get my air conditioner compressor to loosen up enough to let the darned belts come off.

I loosened the anchor bolts on both sides of the pump and also made sure the belt tightener bolt has plenty of loosness.

I get aboout 1/2 inch of play and thats about it. Seems to be something blocking the movement but I'm stuck.

Any advice? I'de appreciate it. Thanks.
