Hi Folks......I'm trying to narrow down the possibilities before going outside in the cold. [It's +2 degrees F outside today!] My son's '89 240 starts great, but when the engine warms up [a few minutes...] it gradually drops idle speed, and power output drops as well. Eventually it stalls, and can be restarted, but runs just as bad. If I let it cool, the cycle starts again. So I have two questions:
1: Any bets as to where I should look first? After searching around the Web I'm suspecting the crank sensor, but don't have a spare to try in its place.
2: Any way to get this to "limp" about 6 miles to the body shop where I work?? [It's warm there.............]
Thanks.
