Did I ruin a case of oil filters? 200 1987

Greetings all,

I had a case of Mann oil filters stored in a wooden cabinet that became wet with several liters of water. The water got into the case of filters and soaked each one which were in those yellow and green cardboard boxes. Each filter has some corrosion on the outer ring (between the rubber seal and outer edge of the filter). When I shine a flashlight into the opening of the filters, the element and everything else looks normal.

Should I dry them out, wipe the corrosion off with an oily rag and use them? Unless the paper elements inside are damaged I think they are probably fine. I hate to toss a whole case of filters. But I don't want to risk the 240 with 400k just around the corner.

Thoughts?
