Have the cylinder head out. Timing belt tensioner turns easily and smoothly, but it makes a noise like a ball bearing turning. It and the belt were changed in 2005, and both have about 75,000 on them. Since the tensioner is very easy to replace, and I don't have a replacement on hand, I plan on putting it back in, with a new belt, and will change the tensioner within a few weeks. Could this cause problems or is it okay, as long as I change the tensioner soon?
