I read with great interest the post on -etreme cold,no start- and had a similar problem last night, with a twist. My daughter called me saying that she couldn't get the 93 240 to start. it was 6 degrees outside, so I guess that would qualify as extreme cold (it did for this California boy). In any case, I found that if I pumped the gas pedal like a mad man while cranking, it would catch and then if I kept pumping it would gradually go from running very rough to smoothing up. Once warm, it ran and restarted like it should. Interestingly, when I replaced the battery last month (also very cold outside) the car was able to start in the same manner. I'll reset the computer by removing the #6 fuse, and I may play it safe by replacing the ECT. Does Groton carry them?
Thanks in advance
