Hello again Brick Board:

Thank you for all the good responses on my previous post asking questions about a 1983 Volvo 244 GLT. Now I am interested in gathering your knowledge about what to look for when considering the purchase of a 1962 Volvo 122S. I have not yet gone to see the car, but it is reportedly "rust free". From the photos of the exterior, it looks very straight and clean. The owner has the title, however, indicates that the car "does not run", but the engine turns over. Also it needs a new gas tank. I have questions for the forum after doing a little digging into the model specification. It looks like 1962 is the transition year from the B16B to the B18B engine and from 6V to 12V. From what I can tell, it would be much preferrable to have the B18B engine and a 12V system. Can people advise what questions I should be prepared to ask the current owner and also what to look for when inspecting this car?
