New battery dead? 200

The past few nights the temperature got down to around 11 degrees and it finally killed the battery. So, I went to Batteries Plus for a replacement. That new battery is as dead as the one I took out. I put it on a charger for a couple of hours and nothing. I'm assuming I got a dud battery, but is there any possibility something else in the car has gone south?

Everything worked before the old battery died Thursday. Any ideas?
