Can Distributor Be Re- Located ?? 700

I prefer the location on front & side of the engine that distributor is on with 240 Volvo's. On 740 it is at rear in I think an awkward hard to get at place. As from what I understand both 240 & 740 share same engine would it be very difficult and involved to re-locate distributor to where it is on a 240 up front and on side ???
