How do you guys do it ? Or is it one of the 'carb kit for diesel' kind of things ?
I put in 5 hours yesterday. Winter conditions, previously put together by a gorilla, stripped flywheel cap screw, etc. Three hours today, not counting a 2 hour parts run for a clutch fork, and I'm still not done. Most of the time today was spent wrestling the transmission to get it to go back in. What an awkward job. On our '80 244 it might have been possible, but on this car ('87 245)?! Installing the top bolt was a piece of cake compared to getting the tranny to line up.
Tips? Tricks ? How do you do it that fast ?
Thanks
Greg
