The ALT light on my daughters 80 242 comes on and stayes on only when ingnition key is shut off. It goes out when the car is running.
Battery will drain down over night.

We did have a problem with all the warning lights staying on and no charge when driving but a new alternator 4 months ago took care of that problem.

Any ideas on what I can check/ Thanks!
