Can anyone tell me if it is enough to just disconnect the aluminum hose from the exhaust manifold to the air filter box in order to alleviate the problem of the sticking fresh air intake thermostat? THis is what I have done as there does not seem to be any replacement thermostat out there. I was told by Volvo you have to buy the entire lower half of the box.
