Overdrive Solenoid Connector 200 1983

Hello all, first time poster and fairly new to Volvos (1983 240).

While I have been hot on the trail of an intermittent stalling issue, I had a new one creep up. Out of no where the other day I noticed that my car would not shift into overdrive. After reading all the old posts here that I could find I felt armed with enough knowledge of what could potentially be the problem. After careful diagnosis (read: I looked under the car and saw a wire hanging down), I now know that the OD solenoid is my issue. It appears that the connector end of the solenoid simply broke or corroded off. So my problem, I am hoping, is a very easy one. Could someone help me identify where that connector connects to the transmission? Since it was dangling I cannot trace it back to its origin and I can’t quite tell from my Bently manual where it should go. I poked all around up there this morning to no avail. Also, since this connector removed itself, is it possible that there would be debris in the female side of this connector that I need to remove?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am planning to make a run to the u-pull-a-part yard this weekend to grab some pieces for my stalling issue and will probably see if I can find another solenoid to replace this one.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Chris
