I'm buying a 1990 740 GLE Wagon with the 16v engine for $350 and the guy is going to deliver it to my house included in the $350. You can turn the car over but of course it never cranks up and runs. You can take the oil cap off and look in and the cams are not turning. My question is if it still turns over do you think the valves would be bent in the head? Obviously it only broke the cam belt and the crank belt is still ok. He was idling when it quit so I'm hoping it didn't bend the valves. Any light anyone can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
