ECU swap matching 700 1991

Hi, I have 2 bricks, both 1991. 740 & 940. Both have B230FT, no EGR.

740 has M46, 940 has AW71. Both use Bosch ECU 280000563. Can I run a 280000937 w/o problems?
ECU rebuilders say different things.

Anyone swapped without problems?
