Looking through Bentley (the 280 section) I can't quite find a simple test for the "Inductive Speed Pickup" (CPS).
I don't have a scope but I was wondering if I can disconnect it and crank the car, how can I see something to let me know it is functioning?
I'm talking 200's here but really I will be looking at a friends sick 850 to do this test on. Looking at an on-line Parts place, the CPS looks the same as far as the connector goes... I think the wire length is the only difference.
Maybe someone can tell me that too. I have a functioning 200 CPS that I could put in the car if I can.
Never looked under the hood of an 850 before so I'm going over there to kind of feel my way through and convert B230 troubleshooting thoughts to this ...well, what's under the hood anyway?
