Hello all,

I have the boot off and have released the lockwasher.

Can I exert the pressure need to remove the tie rod end without counterholding the steering shaft?

As you know the shaft has a smooth machined finish like a strut shaft, I assume it moves back and forth through a seal, and I don't want to mar it up.
