940/960 ac condenser interchange 900 1993

Has anyone succesfully rigged an ac condenser from a 960 with the push in fittings on the lines onto a 940 that had the standard threaded fittings?

My 940 condenser is toast and I have a good 960 condenser layying around. Just trying to use it before buying another. I have equipment to make ac hoses if making a small extension piece would do the trick.
