How do I check the wheel bearings to see if they are worn. Only one bearing in the hub? 200

I've already removed them to repack the grease. Just need to know what to look for if they are worn. They look shiny and no flat spots. The grease was pretty black and not very pliable.

Also is there only one bearing in the hub. I heard reference to inner and outer.
