No Power to Speakers 900 1992

I went to the mechanic, and they said there was nothing wrong with my audio system. The only problem is that there is no sound coming out of my front and rear door speakers. So I assumed the problem was blown speakers (the only speakers that work are the two on the dash). When I removed the old speakers to install new ones, I discovered that there was no power going through the wires leading to the front and back door speakers. What is wrong?? (This is for a 92' 940 GL if that helps any)
