Belated thanks to whalepirot 700 1991

A vacuum leak was (isn't fixed yet) part of my problem. I swapped the ECU & I passed my emissions test. I finally found the leak (#3 intake runner gasket). The annoying thing was intermitant/tiny. Pop the hood & you could hear it. Stethoscope w/ hose, water, barbeque light all found nothing. I sprayed the area w/ carb cleaner (cold engine, no fires) & the revs picked up.

I did like the idea of the vacuum cleaner to pressurize the intake side.

I work w/ some low vacuum instruments & you really can't find leaks. Just take apart & clean until it doesn't leak.

Thanks ian
