Chronic stalling issue 240 turbo (B21Fti) 200 1983

It's been a while since I posted here, but am now back to trying to fix a longstanding stalling issue with my 240 turbo, so thought I would ask. Hopefully, these symptoms are familiar to those who know the the B21F, kJet, CIS, etc. I'm at a loss, and the next step would be take in to a shop that can still work on these cars if I can't troubleshoot it myself soon. Basically, the car stalls while underway after it has warmed up to operating temperature, and it can be restarted after sitting a short time. Today, I drove it about 3 miles before it stalled the first time. I got it restarted after sitting a bit, and, after that it would stall after going a short distance. Did that several times until I got it home. What I noticed is that the power just dies, although gauges, such as the turbo pressure gauge respond when I depress the accelerator. Then, in the process of coasting to a stop, everything dies, and the warning lights come on. I've checked turbo hoses for leaks and fuel pump relay and everything seems OK. Battery is new and both fuel pumps are operating. I think the relation to engine warming has relevance. After I got it home, i tinkered with a bit, but didn't get anywhere. The thing starts right up as if no problem exists, although I know that if i take it on the road, the stalling is going to start again. From reading some posts here and talking with some mechanics, I believe that it is ignition related. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.
