245 tranny replaced but have vibration at ~2200 rpm 200 1986

fellow brixters,
i replaced my original 86 tranny with a 92 tranny, now mated to my 86 engine. i replaced the at, rear, and the tail housing seals, o-rings, tranny mount etc,. no tranny leaks. tail housing bushing looked great.

Problem:
now, when the engine reaches normal op temp, the engine/tranny prominently vibrates at about 2200 rpm, even while in park.

i've ruled out the center bearing, and the tail housing seal, extention bushing.

during installation:
1) while positioning the replacement tranny to the engine, i accidentally pushed the tranny off the tranny jack. it fell less than 12 inches on it's right side.
2) to hold the flywheel i used a c-clamp
3) my 86 does not use an engine speed sensor, so i didn't have to have the flywheel correctly positioned.

assumptions:
1) tranny was good when i got it. (saw the complete car).
2) it had the original torque converter.

questions:
1) should i expect a later model tranny to vibrate?
2) vibration only due to differences in wear?
3) any other considerations?

thanks as always,
byron golden
