Hello Again:
I am in much need of some help on my brakes. I've searched the archives and didn't find what I was looking for.
Here's my problem(s):
1. I replaced the master cylinder (re-manufactured.), calipers (re-manufactured), rotors (new), pads (new), and booster (from newer, 91 vs. 85, parts car).
2. Bled the brakes at least 6 times now, yes 6 times! I did this exactly the way the Haynes manual told me to.
3. The pedal STILL goes to the floor, it slowly goes to the floor with the car turned off, quickly goes to the floor with the car running.
4. Brake failure warning light IS on!
5.I have no loss of brake fluid, anywhere, and there are no vacuum leaks, hose and check valve on booster are good.
6. I had non-vented rotors at first, and upgraded to vented. (different calipers and rotors)
Is there a way that the brake proportion valve thing (on the front of the car) could be causing my no/low pressure problem?
I am also starting to think its the master cylinder that's bad, even though its a reman. unit. I might have pushed to far and damaged it?
I REALLY hope someone can shed some light on this, because this is literally the only thing stopping me (no pun) from driving the car.
THANKS A MILLION, Lyle
