Aftermarket "helper' pump questions 200

Hey i have a 1984 diesel and i'm getting fuel seep back and can't find the cause..

I read about people installing aftermarket electric fuel pumps on the fuel feed line to the injector pump and it helping with starting and helps prolong the life of a "tired" injection pump..

I'm curious if anyhow has done this cause i'm trying to think of the best way to wire it in.. any help would be greatly appreciated..

PS. i'm pretty new to this site and so far you all kick major A**!!!
