M40 Short Shifter Vs. M41 Short Shifter. 120-130

Hi All,
I just snagged a short throw shifter setup removed from the M40 of a circa 72 140 series car. I plan to install this on the M41J I have in my 68 130.

I've already done this conversion to my 67 220 using the long shifter lid from the M41J (put on a plain M40) and since I do not wish to pull two gearboxes to get the M41J's original lid back, I am just going to install the new cap on the M41J already in my 130. Got it?

My question is about the reverse relay switch location and the 4th gear lockout. The new cap (see below) has a plug where the 4th gear lockout goes (no problem for me to open that up and tap it if necessary) but the pictured lid appears to have a 4th gear-lockout type switch on the left side of the remote shift tunnel. I've never dealt with this configuration before.

If this was indeed an M40 cap, it should not have the 4th gear lockout, so is that the reverse relay switch on the side? If so, does this config replace the small spade terminal normally found on the back of the M40/M41??

If that switch is not the reverse relay switch, then what is it?

Thanks as always
