So I was exited about having my turn signals work again so I could safely enter the freeway.Then just when I wanted to enter the freeway I hear a crazy noise and then my power steering quit.I exit the freeway pull over to the side of the road and pop the hood...the belt had snapped and was ablt to keep a a small soveneir for the shelf. I heard that if you power steering belt snaps its due to a bad ac compressor that decided to seize up.I had great A/C before this belt came off....

Can I just replace the belt and the A/C and the power steering will work again or did I mess something up real bad?? the belt had some teeth missing but seemed to be in new condition with no wear and cracks.Can some teeth fall out when it snaps or do you think the missing teeth was my problem.I just hope I can get a belt on and eveything will be fine!

I really can say that Volvo's and BMW's are both maintenance whores and have very many similar problems that can go wrong and are both very easy to work on in your driveway but at least Volvo parts are cheap!
