HELP aw70l transmission swap with aw70 700

Help, I have a 1990 volvo 740 transmission is dead. The tag reads 03-70L. Called savage yard they said they had one from a 1990 also only 109,000 miles, they said it was aw70L. They loaded it I get home idplate says 03-71. Question can I put the aw71 inmy car that had the AW70L without ant modifications or should I return it and get one with plate tag 03-70L Thanks, Bill
