'81 245 GLT $900 reasonable?? 200

Hi all,

I am looking at this 81 245 GLT with B21F, 240+K. Body and interior is in pristine condition with no rust anywhere. I frankly have never seen "un-beat" example of any 2nd-gen 245s in this kind of condition before.

The issue is that the motor runs/idles really rough and tranny leaks a bit. It seemed though it lacked power. I did not have much time to investigate as much as I wanted to but it seems though the car might have been overheated in the past...I notice a leak from the head gasket and a new water pump. It does run and has good breaks and tires all around. Looser front end.

The shop is asking $900 for it. Obviously its majority of life was in good hand. I think they are asking a bit steep, though with the condition of the body and interior, it might be worth this much? I have no idea. What do you all think? What would be a fare price for something like this? I really want this thing but don't want to overpay.

Good day all!

Toshi
