Where did you route the trailer light connector on your 245? 200

Well Inga got hitched finally. Has the light unit spliced in but the question is what is the best way to route to the outside? Where and how did you route your harness and connector from inside to out on your 245? Looking for the best way to do this, almost finished negotiations on a used trailer and should need it soon.

This hitch almost has to be a home brew unit by the way. For what I paid, still a whole lot cheaper than a new one. It did bolt right onto the 120 mm bolts. Well after some cutting and bending of the heat shield and slicing out that eyelet off. And I could have done a lot better job of trimming the valance. There is a PUP valance in my future and a hopefully better attempt.

This is one strange hitch, Class II according to the trailer guy who looked at it and sold me the receiver, and plenty strong for the trailer I have in mind. Finally had to pull the hitch back off and to drill a new hole in the side of the hitch to get a receiver to lock in. If you look the existing hole was 1 inch in, and that locking pin hole would not line up on anything I looked at. Looked at every dealer in Pasadena and Southeast Houston I could find. To a person, the answer was never seen one with a pin hole like that. More than one suggested using a seven inch rise and that is what you see in the picture. I was worried about the bottom of the hitch dragging, but so far not an issue. Did install the overload springs before the hitch and that wagon is not sagging for sure. And stopped on a pretty good incline and there is plenty of room. You can see a couple of pretty good grooves on the drag plate. Driving downhill after adding the overload shocks so will have to see how it looks and drives with a load on the hitch.

Thanks in advance for your input on the wire out ideas,

Regards,

Paul
