Ignition missfire 900

I have a 92 960 that has run perfectly for three years then I sold it to my nieghbor and, of course, two hours later it developed a miss in number 4. I have replaced the plugs, switched modules and still have the problem. I pulled the plug from the module at the rear of the intake manifold and do not have continuity between the plug and the module on the green/yellow wire. How the heck is a guy supposed to get to the wiring under all this intake stuff? The only way I can see is to remove the intake manifold and then trouble shoot the wiring. Can anyone tell me the difficulty of this job. It looks like the intake runners are connected to the engine with a short run of rubber pipe and thes are held with little quick release hose clamps. Can the cast aluminium intake be separated from the engine by releasing the clips? Sorry for the length of the post but I am a little aprehensive to stsrt pulling parts before I know what is involved.
