Poly bushings, DIY or have shop press them in? I have the CA arms out of the car, looks easy enough. 200

I am installing poly bushings in my 244 and I am wondering if the OEM steel sleeve has to stay intact, in order for the poly bushing to have a place to fit in because it appears it cant just be pressed into the CA itself.

My local machine shop charges 25.00 a side to do the poly bushings. They claim to do about 30% poly bushings these days, so they have the experience. I have the control arms off (easy job) and it looks easy enough to press out the rubber ones, but if I mess up the steel sleeve that the OEM rubber ones sit in, what will the new poly bushings ride in?
