Hi folks,

I have been experiencing some misfires during high load/low RPM driving conditions - like when I haul out from a stoplight, or when I am going up hills on a dirt road. I don't normally give my 740 enough throttle to do this, but it is an occasional thing that gets my attention during my harshest driving.

On my list of to-dos (right at the top) is my new fuel pressure regulator, which will go in tomorrow probably... but this is an unrelated repair brought on by examination of the FPR vacuum hose. I wonder if an over-rich condition could be the culprit, however.

All consumable ignition components are less than a year old, with less than 5k on them. Bougicord wires, NGK plugs, new filters. Plus-grade gas, too, for the last 3 tanks.

This feels identical to the misfire at 50+ mph I had when I first got the car, which I traced to a massive air leak in the brake booster hose. That symptom is not present, and I was on the highway today and would have noticed.

Any thoughts you knowledgeable people may have I would be eager to hear.
