MTC Brake Junction 200 1981

OK, need to change the dreaded brake junction on a 1981 244 DL, and ordered the part from FCP before running across all the comments (everywhere) about MTC parts. Anybody installed one of these and had it go bad prematurely??

Don't know if I can even return it, since I got it several weeks ago...been avoiding the job as long as I could...

If the MTC is really no good, what brands are recommended?

FYI, I posted this on Turbobricks, also.

(PS- I really want this not to go badly...I just finished an install of a heater motor and resistor pack on an '85 240, so I've been punished enough...)
