Okay, This has to do with my '82 245 diesel to B23 conversion car. If you've seen any of my other threads lately you know that I've been chasing an on-going
no-start problem with intermittent success. As of now it's not starting. The scenario is this. The original donor car that the B23 is from is an '83 244. In
that car as well as my '83 daily driver they both have ECU's with the last 3 part numbers being 503. Both my daily driver and my project car have the yellow
top fuel injectors while my 2 '84 parts cars have black top injectors as well as ECU's that have the last 3 part numbers being 510. What's the difference
between these ECU's and do I need to use the black top injectors with the 510 ECU? Lastly, I had the (yellow top) injectors ultrasonically cleaned and
flowmatched prior to putting this engine together. When I initially tried starting this car I'd installed the original donor ECU (503) and couldn't get
it to start. After changing it to one of the 510's that I have it ran rough, but it ran. Now it doesn't run and I'm still grabbing at straws. Any help will
be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charles
