Warning Lights 200 1988

The battery warning light (alternator?) brake failure light and parking brake light have started flickering, glowing, pulsating, whatever, whenever ignition is on. These lights are not truly ON, as in failure of any of these things, just sort of glowing. Why is this happening? Conditions: 1)Car has a leaky windshield that needs to be reseated and moisture is getting into the body and behind dash. 2)Put Genuine Volvo plugs in the other day. When I went to put 4-year old Genuine Volvo/Bougicord plug wires on they would not snap down on the #3 and #4 spark plugs...it felt like they were falling off the plugs. Started the car...engine missing like crazy.(This is what happens when you fix stuff that isn't really broken) So, while waiting for new Bosch plug wires to arrive, I wrapped thin copper wire around the screw-on contact at the top of the plug, to give plug wires something more to grab on to, and jammed those goddamned $75 Genuine Volvo/Bougicord plug wires back down on #3 and #4. No more missing, car runs smooth. So could those pieces of copper wire I jammed in between the top of the plugs and the plug wire connector be causing some sort of feedback or noise in the electrical system that is making these warning lights glow?
