When veering right I get the beginning of some feedback from my front wheel bearings. So I bought replacement bearings which included the outter races. I'm guessing it's the outter passenger side bearing, but it could be the driver side inner.
Either way, I pulled off the driver's wheel to get started and I'm curious how hard it is to get the races out to replace them. Do I need to take the hubs to a machine shop where they can safely press the old ones out and install the new ones?
This is on a 1993 model with ABS. I'm not sure that it's any different from the others.
Also, the seal on the spindle came out as two pieces. The outer metal ring with a lip, and then a rubber ring. I did buy the new seals that are the typical metal ring with a spring loaded rubber ring fused to them. Which is a better design, and if I re-use the OEM, how is it supposed to be put on the car correctly?
Thanks for any help. I'm gonna go wash this grease off of my hands.
