which rear end? 700 1986

Hello Fellows,

A friend and I are trying to figure out which rear end is in which car ( we have a couple) and I thought I'd seek the advice of the forum to try to figure it out.

One car is a 1986 760, so B230FT. Which rear end /should/ this car have?

The other is a 1991 740 turbo. Which rear end /should/ this car have?

Can one tell by looking at the diff what the ratio is and/or if it's the locking version? Is there a sticker on the car somewhere? I can't seem to find any info about this in the user's manual/dash book.
