This past weekend I was driving my 79 245dl to pick something up. About halfway there the amp light, check engine light and brake light came on, they flickered for a while after that. My alternator was on the way and I have a replacement, question is what tools/ experience does it take to replace the alternator? I have some hand tools, my understanding is there are shims involved, any suggestions? thanks!
