cold start stalls-restart engine hunts 200

Hi All,I have a 85 240 ti B21. Having a problem on cold starts and warm starts.On cold starts the RPM's go up and down then stalls.On warm starts it seems that the engine is getting flooded and takes a while to get it to idle.I pulled the Temp. Sensor connector off and started the engine and it started right away at a high idle.Does that mean the the temp.sensor is bad?If so does anyone have one thay want to sell? Thanks,Charlie
