aggro trim question... those little screw masques between A and B pillar 700 1991

There are a couple of little plastic pieces which apparently serve no purpose other than to hide the screws necessary to keep the larger trim between A and B pillar intact. These little buggers are loose and there appears no reasonable way to get them tightened up. Any suggestions?
