is it the manifold gaskets wearing over time?

is there a donut gasket in the cat flange that disintegrates or something else?

because I just had the cat-back exhaust replaced (Bosal) and the thing sounds just as noisy as before it was done.

I'm not a happy camper now that I'm out some $$ and did not have the time to do this job myself :-(
