my wife and i went out and bought a 1993 5 speed 240 SW in teal from a lovely family that just did not want it anymore. it had been sitting for several months.....see picture......as it was too dangerous to drive.

200k on the odometer, the engine runs like a watch.the carpets under the molded floor mats look brand new. sheep skin seat covers in front over intact and mildly worn vinyl. a volvo roof rack, 4 new tires and 4 mounted studded snows also new.

in the past 2 years the family replace the exhaust......cat back........a new steering rack and tie rods, a new volvo oem radiator and newer clutch.

apart from the control arm and shattered plastic thingy around the emergency brake, a replacement hood (rust perforation on the grill side leading edge) and a real good washing, de leafing and debris from sitting she's a beauty. will have pictures once she arrives via flat bed tommorrow.

what you may ask did i pay for this diamond in the rough.......sorry i have to brag a little.........$150 dollars!!

the passenger control is rusty but sound. if you were me would you replace both?
