Sudden No-Start, No Power to Pump? 900 1995

I hate to start a "My Car Won't Start" thread here, but my 1995 945 suddenly no longer starts. I've been focused on the vintage volvos for so long, I'm not entirely sure how to deal with a "modern" car anymore...

I'll give you a quick boil-down followed by some verbose info.

Quick and Dirty
Car cranks but will not start. Sudden failure. New cap and rotor last week, no previous no-start issues. Can't hear the fuel pump power on when I turn the key, pump relay clicks, no burned fuses or other obvious culprits. Suspect the fuel pump is not running.

Verbose
This is a 1995 945 with 220k miles, Bosch FI but with only a single in-tank fuel pump. Well-maintained, but have not done much preventive parts replacement in the last three years - mainly oil-changes, brakes, and basic tune-ups.

My wife took the car out this afternoon and experienced no issues and returned home after an errand. I was going to immediately use the car, and when I hopped in minutes later and cranked it, it started up and died immediately. I attempted a restart with the same result, then followed by no-start at all.

It's been a couple hours, the engine is cold and I still get no start.
I followed some of the FAQ advice and confirmed that the pump relay is clicking when I turn the key.

I'd suspect the RSR, but I'm not sure the 1995 945 has one or if it is connected to the pump relay circuit. Furthermore, my ill-fated 1990 745 had a failing RSR and the symptoms developed progressively - nothing as sudden as what I've seen here.

I need an explanation that works with sudden failure and the fuel pump failing to cycle when I turn the key.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
